DefenseCoat is a full-service metal finisher located in Richmond, VA. We are a veteran-owned small business dedicated to providing high quality powder and specialty coatings to clients throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. We proudly serve a variety of clients including commercial, industrial, aerospace, defense, and individuals.

DefenseCoat began as a small in-house powder coating shop for a custom motorcycle manufacturer. At the time, we found it difficult to find a local provider able to meet our needs, so we set up to do it ourselves. Over time, we began offering our powder coating services to our friends and business acquaintances. Once demand for our services outgrew our limited capacity, we made the decision to focus all efforts on metal finishing services. We then set up DefenseCoat and relocated to an 8,000 square-foot facility which is equipped with two powder coating booths, four ovens, a large blast cabinet, a blast room, a stripping room, and our specialty coating lines.

We entered the metal finishing market to serve and partner with our clients. We offer our clients the very things we value most: the highest quality and standards, outstanding customer service and care, and the traditional values we grew up with.
